ProductsMusical Mathematics Integrates Music into Learning MathematicsMusical Mathematics is a musical CD designed to help children learn mathematical concepts. This motivational CD serve as an engagement and reinforcement tool as children learn mathematics. Associated with the CD are instructional guides for educators and parents and activity books for children. The pilot products of Musical Mathematics, Skip Counting featuring Multiplication Facts, can be used by parents and educators during instruction to support the various mathematics content areas in number and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis and probability. The songs provide an opportunity for children to understand the meaning of multiplication and how it relates to other operations such as addition, subtraction, and division. The songs also allow educators to expand children's learning through the creation of what is represented in the songs through movement, manipulatives, diagrams and writing. Musical Mathematics Skip Counting also can be used to further develop children's understanding of whole numbers - ways of representing numbers and the relationship of numbers to one another. |
